to other Internet SkypeTM users anywhere in the world and cheaper calls to all others, via SkypeOut. • From SkypeTM to SkypeTM, calls are free. • From SkypeOut to standard telephones, international, mobile and long distance calls can be made at low rates. • Normal telephony which costs the same as you already pay to your existing operator.

2-in-1-telephone

With the Cordless DUALphone you get both an Internet and normal telephone in one and the same product, which means you get an extra hands-free telephone line at home. You can dial and receive normal telephone calls or calls over the Internet. And naturally, there are no more sockets and wires to worry about.

Connect and call

Simply connect the Cordless DUALphone to the USB port on your PC and then install the software. The telephone is then ready to make and receive calls via SkypeTM/SkypeOut or the normal analogue line. 3 cordless handsets Up to 3 extra handsets can be connected to each base station.

If you need help troubleshooting a problem then here are some possible causes and solutions, enabling you to solve your problems quickly and easily

Problem Possible cause Solution
I get no dialing tone on my handset. The telephone is not plugged in properly. Check that the telephone plug is connected properly - both in the base and at the wall socket.
The light in the base will not go out even though the handset has been charging in the base for a very long time. This is entirely normal, as the light is always lit when the handset is in the base.
The number of the incoming caller is not displayed. It may be that the caller concerned wishes to withhold his/her number. It may also be that you do not subscribe to a Caller ID service.  Contact your telephone operator for more information about Caller ID.
Nothing happens when I push the buttons. You may have activated the key lock.   Press OK and *P to switch off the key lock.
I cannot find Cordless DUALphone Suite on my PC?   You can find the program by selecting Start -> Programs ->Cordless DUALphone
No Skype™ contacts are displayed when I press the PC key on the handset. 1 - None of your contacts are online. 2 -You have not entered any contacts. 3 -Skype™ is not running on your PC. 4 -Your PC is switched off.  Make sure Skype™ is 'running' on your PC and that your PC is switched on. Enter contacts in the Skype™ program.
The handset display is not lit. What might be the matter? It may mean you need to recharge the batteries. Please check that you have inserted the batteries correctly.   Check that the battery is connected correctly. Place the handset in the base to recharge the battery. Make sure the power supply is correctly connected to the base. If in doubt, read through the Quick Guide.
My phone does not beep when my Skype™ contacts change to online status. Have you activated Online tone If not, you should find the menu item 1>Sound in the handset and select 5>Online tone and press OK
The CD-ROM doesn't start when I put it in the CD-ROM drive. What is wrong? Possibly your PC is not set to automatic start of the CD-ROM.  Open My Computer and right click on the CD-ROM drive icon and select Open. This will start the CD-ROM.
I cannot call ordinary telephone numbers from SkypeOut. This might indicate that you have not registered as a SkypeOut user, or that you have no money left in your SkypeOut account.  Register as a SkypeOut user at www.skype.com and deposit credits to your account.
I cannot make SkypeOut calls. I have installed Skype and have also used SkypeOut before. It would appear that you have forgotten to deposit money for calls in your SkypeOut account.   Visit www.skype.com and follow the instructions on how to deposit money to your account.
My telephone cannot receive ordinary calls. Possibly you failed to select the right country when you installed the telephone.   Select 8>Country in the handset menu and select the country where you are and then press OK. Wait a moment. Now you can receive and make calls again.
My Skype™ online status changes very quickly from "Online" to "Not Available". Skype™ alters this status automatically if you do not use the program for ten minutes. You can alter this by clicking Files -> Settings in Skype™. Enter a 0 in both the Not Available and Away boxes.
My PC speakers/headset do not work after installing Cordless DUALphone Suite. In rare cases installing a new audio device to a PC alters the audio settings.  Open the Control Panel and select Sounds and Audio Devices. Restore the original sound playback and sound recording default devices to the original device (sound card).
Skype™ does not work together with Cordless DUALphone Suite. What is wrong? You have possibly clicked the "Do not allow other programs to use Skype" Skype™ box by mistake.   You can alter this by clicking on Files -> Settings -> Privacy and then click on Manage other programs access to Skype. Click on current settings and select Change.
I am getting the following message from Cordless DUALphone Suite: "The Skype version currently installed does not work with Cordless DUALphone" You have not allowed Cordless DUALphone Suite to use the Skype™ program.  You can alter this by clicking on Files -> Settings -> Private life and then click on Manage other programs' access to Skype™. Click on Current Settings and select Change.
I cannot make Internet calls. Is your PC switched on? Have you installed Skype™ and Cordless DUALphone Suite? Is the base station connected to your PC? Do you use Windows XP, 2000 or 2003 server?  Switch on your PC. Connect the USB cable in the base to your PC's USB port. Insert the installation CD-ROM and follow the instructions on the screen. Open Cordless DUALphone Suite and check that there is a green tick next to all four items. Try calling again.
